How long will it take to receive a response to my email?

We typically respond within 1–2 business days. As a small team, we truly appreciate your patience and will get back to you as soon as possible.

The item I want is out of stock. What should I do?

We produce our pieces in small, intentional batches to avoid overproduction and waste. We typically release two drops per year.

Sign up for our email list so you're the first to know when something launches or restocks. If there's something specific you'd love to see return, feel free to email us—hearing what our community wants helps guide what we make next.

What if I need to change my order?

Once an order is placed, we're unfortunately unable to make changes. Because we process orders quickly, we're not always able to intercept them before they move through fulfillment.

I need to cancel my order. What should I do?

If your order has not yet been processed or marked as shipped, please email info@miakodanewyork.com as soon as possible and we'll do our best to stop and cancel it.

Do you offer price adjustments?

If something you purchased goes on sale shortly after your order, send us an email. We always do our best to find a solution.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes! Our digital gift cards are delivered by email and never expire, making them the perfect gift.

Fit & Sizing

How does Miakoda sizing run?

Most pieces run true to size with a comfortable, relaxed feel. Because many of our styles are designed as elevated everyday basics, the fit tends to be easy and forgiving.

If you prefer a more fitted look, choose your usual size. For a more relaxed fit, you may choose to size up. Each product page has specifics, but if you need help, send us your height and measurements to info@miakodanewyork.com!

What size should I choose if I'm between sizes?

If you're between sizes, we usually recommend sizing up for a relaxed fit. Each product page also includes notes about fit to help guide you.

Can I reach out for sizing help?

Absolutely! Email us at info@miakodanewyork.com and we're happy to help you find your best fit.

Fabrics & Care

What fabrics do you use?

We prioritize natural and eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton, bamboo blends, and other responsibly sourced fabrics chosen for their softness, durability, and comfort.

How should I care for my Miakoda pieces?

To help your garments last for years, we recommend:

  • Washing cold with similar colors
  • Using gentle detergent
  • Air drying when possible

Caring for garments gently helps maintain fabric quality and reduces environmental impact. More info here!

Will the fabric shrink?

Because many of our fabrics are natural fibers, slight shrinkage can occur if dried with heat. Air drying helps maintain the original fit.

Sustainability & Ethics

Where are Miakoda garments made?

Miakoda garments are ethically cut and sewn in New York City, supporting skilled garment workers and fair wages.

Why do you produce in small batches?

Fast fashion relies on overproduction. We do the opposite. Producing in small, intentional batches helps reduce waste, prevents excess inventory, and ensures every piece we make is truly needed.

What makes Miakoda sustainable?

Our approach focuses on:

  • Natural and eco-friendly fabrics
  • Ethical local manufacturing in NYC
  • Small batch production
  • Timeless designs meant to be worn on repeat
Why are slow fashion pieces more expensive?

Slow fashion reflects the true cost of making clothing responsibly. Our pieces are made in fair-wage factories with higher-quality materials and thoughtful design. The goal is clothing that lasts for years, not seasons.

What is Miakoda's philosophy?

We believe in buying less, buying better. Our collections focus on comfortable, elevated staples designed to become the pieces you reach for every day.
